Without further ado, let’s jump into the post now, shall we?
The Moon stresses me out, you guys. She is so hard to keep track of because she moves too fast! She’s just like a mama, literally representing mothers, with how quick on their feet they have to be. Not only this, but mothers are our first nurturers. Usually, we grow within her womb, she pushes us out to give us life’s first breath, she feeds us from her body, she teaches us how to be a person; these are all tasks that both the moon and mom oversee.
When people think about the moon, they generally think about the emotions and inner well-being that we as people hold. That is included in the moon’s sphere, as the moon connects with the most intimate parts of our mind, body, and soul.
The Moon’s domicile is when she graces the lovely sign of Cancer, although I find people are not too fond of Cancer Moon people. Why is that?
The Moon in its domicile isn’t going to be overemotional; it has patience. calculated, she knows her step-by-step routine and will execute it without a problem. We tend to find the lack of patience and quick/impulsive movements within those who have afflictions or undignified moons (Capricorn Moon-Scorpio Moons). Due to this, Cancer Moon people can be seen as cold, as they are taking their time to reflect on the state of situations and how to approach them with a sense of care in a state of nurturing. They are not always the most emotionally expressive, as it takes a moment to recognize self and their wounds. It can come off as emotional manipulation at times, being able to identify others’ problems to use to their advantage. This isn’t always the case or the intention, but it can manifest through their actions.
The Moon transits through each sign within 30 days, technically 27.3 ish days. If you do 30 (days) and divide it by 12 (the zodiac), then you get 2.5 days. That’s how many days the moon transits through a sign, making it the quickest-moving orbit. The moon is constantly making aspects to other planets, so it’s never receiving an aspect, but always the one applying the aspect to another planet.
I believe that it is important to get in tune with the moon and her cycles because she moves so quickly. It’s hard to do this, I’ve found. Routine is hard to keep up with, and the moon is one of the most routine bodies in the sky. She is faithful to her movement. To understand this a bit more, any cycle, especially the cycle within the body, is lunar activity.
For example: You are hungry, so you need to eat. You eat, you get re-energized, but then you have to expel that energy by going to the bathroom. Now the process restarts over again.
You need to adhere to certain cycles or you drain yourself of energy, or even worse, die. The moon is more than your emotional wealth; it highlights the cycles that you are constantly having to nourish or let go of for better wellness in general.
Speaking of cycles, in the next post we will go through the moon’s actual cycles, deciphering between the new moon to full moon cycle, what waxing and waning mean, and the different phases that the moon experiences. Stay tuned, stay blessed, stay happy.
